On a more positive note, Andy planned a great birthday surprise. On Friday afternoon at 2pm, he came downstairs and said he was taking a half day and taking over with the kids. Amy Bird then showed up at the door and Andy sent us off to go get massages. Such a nice surprise! Amazing. Then when I got home, Andy said get dressed nicely we're going to dinner. Thanks to a little styling help from Jennie, I overcame my earlier fashion woes and actually ended up looking like a pretty decent 35 year old! We went to a great Latin fusion place called Carnivale and Bill/Jessica, Mark/Virginie and Amy/Alex surprised me. Such a fun night. Great husband. :)
Funny stories and random thoughts of the kids, house, husband, dog, work...whatever happens to pop up

Birthday Style
Today is my 35th birthday. I seriously cannot believe I'm 35. Crazy! We just came back from a few days in Denver visiting Nonna for GG's memorial service...more on that later... Back to 35 for a second... The wake up call that I'm definitely 35 and not nearly as cool as I used to be just happened. I'm wearing my new pair of "boyfriend" jeans that I thought I loved and looked really cute in. Conor just looked at me and asked if I pooped my pants. Nice. Happy Birthday old dumpy lady.
